Andrew Iafrate is a native West Virginian song writer living in Austin, Texas. He has developed a cult following throughout Appalachia with his unique blend of both primitive and modern uses of instrumentation and song form. When asked how to describe Andrew's music, long time friend and musical colleague Isaac Cohen stated: "Andrew composes the soundtrack to John Wilkes Booth's nightmares. It's his music what plays in George Bernard Shaw's grave. It's haunting, sometimes overtly melodramatic. He's a marionnette puppetier. He holds the reins to something innocent, frightening, and archaic all at the same time. It's kind of scary to think about."
Andrew's hallmark recording effort is a full-length CD entitled Hallowed Be Our Wayward Ways (factory R, 2005). His most recent recording is the six-song EP When I Am Stone Dead, available for free on his website (www.pariahprophecy.com). You are invited to participate in its existence.
