Like spinning dials to a safe to get the booty, Samiam have twisted through some hard times, but the payoff is extraordinary. And you get the riches. In August, 2000, they released the album, "Astray,".
The album was produced by Tim O'Heir (Sebadoh, Folk Implosion). All systems are go, go, go.
How good are Samiam? They've toured the states seventeen times with the likes of Bad Religion and Green Day. They've been on the Warped Tour, have gained more and more fan support with each successive sweep of the nation. Honestly, they've always been thiiiiis close to breaking through. In spite of the fact of receiving little label backing, their last album "You Are Freaking Me Out," produced the single "She Found You." It got an unprecedented 25,000 spins on radio nationwide. With the juggernaut of Hopeless backing Samiam, two hearts beat as one, and we've got two ingredients that go well together -- liquid detergent and gasoline. Samiam have been cooking up a special batch of auditory pop-punk napalm that'll explode your heart, and head, sticks all over the place and makes you want to hump your speakers. They'll be sure to be blazing into a town or a stereo near you soon.
